The O'Haras

The O'Hara family have been receiving guests at Mornington since 1986 and have been members of The Hidden Ireland since 1989.

Warwick and Anne returned to Mornington in 1978, to take over the family estate, having spent eleven years in British Columbia, Canada. The sound The O'Hara Family - Katy, Warwick, Pat and Anne of children’s voices awoke the old house from her slumbers. Katy and Patrick, the fifth generation to live in Mornington, are now pursuing their own careers and are in and out from time to time. The house loves people, and is never happier than when full of guests who relish the character of the old house. Today, surrounded by 50 acres of parkland and gardens, Mornington is an oasis of calm, yet so easily accessible from Dublin.

Mornington is not a hotel nor a country inn, but a country family home. Today, our guests experience the warmth of welcome extended by the family to friends for generations. Guests, who return year after year, return as friends knowing they can unwind from the cares of the outside world in peace and tranquillity.
